The Lab content type can be used for faculty research labs and other types of specialized content like small departmental centers.
The lab form is organized into five tabbed sections: Main, Primary Investigator, Paragraphs, Related, and Sidebar. Example
Main tab
- Title of the Lab.
- Add optional featured Image - creates a banner
- Add optional featured image text - text will appear over image
- Feature image size should be 1000 px w x 400 px h/5:2 ration and 72 dpi.
- Do not include text on the image.
- Ad Lab Location - address or location of the lab.
Primary Investigator Tab
The primary investigator's Scholars profile must already be imported into the site before building this section. See Add Scholars for more information
- Select Add Primary Investigators button
- Begin typing the name of the PI. Select the profile when the profile appears on the dropdown list.
- Add a headshot by selecting Add Media if desired. See Working with the Media Library for information about adding images.
- Fill out the Contact Information field if desired. See the Formatting Text for additional help.
- Select Add Primary Investigator to add additional PIs
- Save
Paragraph Tab
Sections - Sections are the pages of the Lab content type and will appear as tabs across the top of the site under the banner image if there is one. Each section allows for limited paragraph types.
- Select Add Section
- Add Heading - the heading will be the name of the tab on the Lab page
- Add desired content and paragraphs to the section
- Select Add Section to add the next section
- Repeat until all desired sections have been created.

- If the page has related divisions/units already added to the system, begin typing the name of the first division in the Related Divisions/Units field. Choose the division from the dropdown list of suggestions. Related labs, programs and subsites can also be added in the same way in their respective fields.

The Sidebar will appear below the Lab Location on the left side of the page.
