Nicole Arrato, PhD
Nicole Arrato, PhD is a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Behavioral Medicine. She is a licensed clinical psychologist whose work lies at the intersection of psychology, oncology, and aging. Her work aims to develop, examine, and disseminate behavioral interventions to reduce psychological and physiological symptoms experienced by older adults with cancer. One of her current lines of work focuses on the comorbidity of cancer and steroid-induced hyperglycemia/diabetes. Her Grand Rounds presentation will present work on a) the acceptability and feasibility of use of glucose monitoring for patients with breast cancer, b) patient and provider perspectives on care coordination for patients with this comorbidity, and c) next research steps to address the identified gaps in care coordination.
